I recently had an opportunity to sit down and have a conversation with VoyageLA Magazine to talk about Coolest Kids Club, and share a little bit about my journey that led me to create a brand focused on kids’ confidence and positivity.
Every great brand starts with a moment — a spark — that slowly grows into something bigger than expected. For Coolest Kids Club, that moment began with a simple question: What if kids had clothing that not only looked good, but also made them feel good?
When I first dreamed up the idea for Coolest Kids Club, I wanted to build more than just another children’s clothing line. I wanted to create a brand that celebrated confidence, kindness, and the inner magic every kid already has. Growing up, I didn’t always feel like I belonged, and I know a lot of kids today feel the same way. So I asked myself: What if clothing could give kids a reminder of just how incredible they truly are?
That’s where the concept of the Hidden Affirmation was born — a small but powerful message tucked inside every piece we create. Kids can flip it up anytime they need a little boost: “You’re amazing,” “You’ve got this,” “Be kind,” and more. It’s small, but it makes a huge difference.
From that idea, Coolest Kids Club came to life — a gender-free, confidence-boosting clothing brand rooted in positivity and community. My hope is that every kid who puts on one of our pieces feels like part of something special. Because they are. They’re part of The Club.
